Finney County Fair - Sponsors

Western State Bank Western State Bank and the Finney County Fair Association are sponsoring a free Hamburger Feed on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. They are also sponsoring the entertainment for the evening. Join us at 7:00 p.m. in the Grandstands for McClain's Mutton Busters & Kids Ranch Rodeo.

Garden City Co-op, Inc. Garden City Co-op, Western Cooperative Seed, Western Ag Chemical and Farm Credit of Southwest Kansas are sponsoring the Amateur ATV Rodeo, the Friday Night Entertainment on August 1, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. in the Grandstands. Garden City Co-op is also a proud sponsor of the Finney County Fair Crop Show.

Farm Credit of Southwest Kansas Farm Credit of Southwest Kansas and the Garden City Co-op are sponsoring the Amateur ATV Rodeo, the Friday Night Entertainment on August 1, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. in the Grandstands. This is a competition to show how well the participant can control the Four Wheeler ATV.

Commerce Bank Commerce Bank is sponsoring the Grandstand Entertainment for the evening of Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. featuring the Demolition Derby. Come out for an exciting evening! (Admission will be charged for this event.)

Farm Bureau Farm Bureau is sponsoring Flying Debris - Richard Holmgren. Come see Richard juggle machetes and twinkies, eat fire, catch a 10 lb. bowling ball on his face and more. Shows will be presented at the following times: Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 9:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2008 at 9:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 9:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m.

Golden Plains Credit Union Golden Plains Credit Union is sponsoring the Kids Pedal Pull at 12:00 Noon on Sunday, August 3, 2008. Registration for this event begins at 11:00 a.m. and the Pull will start at 12:00 Noon. This is an event for all kids in Finney County. Winners can be entered for the Pedal Pull Contest at the Kansas State Fair in September.

Keller-Leopold Insurance, Inc. Keller-Leopold Insurance is the sponsor of a meal provided for all workers helping to set up for the Finney County Fair. This will be at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 28, 2008.

American Implement American Implement is the sponsor of Loghoggers - Chainsaw Sculpting Demonstrations. A sculpture will be created at each show. Sculptures will be auctioned off during the Demolition Derby, August 2nd. Shows will be presented at the following times: Friday, August 1, 2008 at 11:30 a.m., 3:00 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 11:30 a.m., 3:00 p.m., and 6:30 p.m.
